At Yoga Tree, we encourage you to try the diverse branches of yoga which all offer different benefits to compliment your practice.
Hatha Yoga
Strength, flexibility, and stamina are developed by performing floor, standing and balancing postures. Heat is created in the body to detoxify and sculpt muscles by performing sun salutations and by holding postures longer. This accessible and eclectic blend of different styles of yoga designed to tone and stretch the entire body, releasing stress and creating a deep experience of well-being. Levels 1-2 is suitable for beginners & those wanting an easier practice. Levels 2-3 is a class for intermediate students wanting to take their practice to the next level.
Hatha Flow
Students move in a continuous flow from one posture to the next, combining the breath with their movements. Together with the breath students flow mindfully through the postures that lead naturally from one to the next. Students should be familiar with basic yoga poses. The class focuses on correct alignment, breathing, movement and focusing the mind. Students will leave the class feeling energized and rejuvenated.
Gentle Hatha
This is suitable for beginners, students of all ages and fitness levels. This gentle, slower paced class typically starts with breathing techniques followed by detailed instructions on how to perform each posture. It is non-competitive and most positions are easily modified to fit the individual needs of the practitioner.
Hot Yoga
The yoga postures are performed in a heated room, 38C (to replicate the temperature of yoga's birthplace in India). The heat will promote detoxification of the body and will allow a deeper stretch into the muscle tissues, ligaments and tendons.
If you're timid of the heat, a beginner or have any heart conditions try the reduced heat instead until you feel comfortable with the heat.
