Surviving the 45 day challenge

Set an intention for your challenge. Recognize that your mind may find ways to subtly undermine your goals. Plan the classes you will attend in advance, and take each day as an individual challenge.- Identify a Challenge "buddy" to help support you throughout the Challenge period
- Get lots of sleep so your body can restore
- Try a few new classes which you may normally not attend, perhaps
Restorative Yoga, Iyengar or Gentle Hatha.
Yoga is about creating balance. If you find your practice is taking you “off-center”, this is a clear warning sign that you need to focus more of the relaxing aspects of yoga and less on the physical. Remember to bring your awareness back to your breath, the seat of your vitality: take the modifications that allow it to be smooth and steady.
Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. You need to pace yourself and push yourself at the same time and, above all, be encouraging of yourself.
