Studio in Focus; Richmond Hill

RH-Studio-300x225
Yoga Tree Richmond Hill at Bayview & Hwy 7

In terms of our timeline, Yoga Tree Richmond Hill was one of the first to be built. A lot of love and passion was put into this location, the first sprout from the Yoga Tree seed.
With Thornhill as the root, Richmond Hill blossomed into the very beginning of an incredible venture from all of our studios, a growing community that has expanded through the Toronto area and is only getting better with every new student. It’s undeniable; united, we are strong!

Here’s what our Richmond Hill manager, Alvin Wong, had to say about his experiences at the studio:

“Nestled in the heart of Richmond Hill, Markham and Thornhill, Yoga Tree Richmond Hill was the second studio opened in the Yoga Tree family. Since 2008, the studio has been situated in the centre of a buzzing business hub and a booming residential scene. Through all of the changes and developments, it has been a truly amazing experience to be at the studio during its transformation.

I started working at Richmond Hill as a Yoga Advisor in 2010, eventually taking over as
Assistant Manager in 2013.During the time I have been here, I have seen the studio grow into something more than just a place to practice yoga. It is a place where new lifelong friendships are made and long lost connections are rekindled. At the studio, our students can take some time for themselves to escape from the busy hustle of life, whether it be in one of our classes, or by sharing their thoughts over a cup of tea in the lounge.

The studio takes on a life of its own as students, instructors and classes come and go. During the day, there is a caring, nurturing, almost motherly energy in the studio as homebodies and parents come to recharge their batteries. At night, there is a youthful enthusiasm as the working professionals come to wind down and bring some balance to their busy work days. Regardless of the time of day, the studio is filled with a glowing energy that is beautifully contagious. It’s a wonderful thing to experience!

Yoga Tree has helped many yogis through various stages in their lives, whether it’s been going off to university, starting a new job, or finding their calling to become yoga teachers. Watching the community evolve and grow so large while still preserving that tight knit feel is an amazing thing! It is always a special feeling when you see difference the studio makes in somebody’s life.

With such a diverse community, and whether you’re a seasoned yogi or brand new to yoga, Yoga Tree Richmond Hill will make you feel right at home.”
