Yoga Tree's 250-hour Teacher Training, is a comprehensive, foundational teacher training program for serious students furthering their practice and aspiring teachers.
Yoga Tree’s teaching philosophy is based on three disciplinary lineages- Classical Hatha, Ashtanga and Hot Yoga. Upon graduation, students will be equipped to teach in both heated and non-heated environments.
To deepen their education students will study functional anatomy and physiology; explore Yoga’s philosophical underpinnings, kriyas, practice meditation and pranayama.

LEARN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF YOGA
At Yoga Tree, we believe that your personal practice and experience is the foundation for creative teaching. The 250-hour program is designed to deepen and build your personal practice or embark on a transformational journey toward becoming a yoga teacher.To facilitate a more scientific understanding of the body, you will study functional anatomy, class sequencing, physical adjustments, as well as the physiology of inversions, breathing and the nervous system.
Studying beyond the physical component of yoga, students will study from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Finally, you will begin to learn the fundamentals of meditation and pranayama.
Course Description
Our 250 hour program will cover the following fundamentals: yoga technique, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology.
The curriculum fulfills and exceeds all the components of the Yoga Alliance 200 hours teacher training course. The program focuses on three styles of yoga: Classical Hatha, Ashtanga and Hot Yoga.
Total Curriculum includes both contact hours and personal study:
- Technique
- Teaching Methodology
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Yoga Philosophy/Ethics
- Practicum (actual teaching of classes and class assists)
- Introduction to Specialized Yoga Programs - Restorative, Pre Natal Yoga, Kids Yoga
- Meditation/Yogic Lifestyle & Diet

MASTERING THE ART OF TEACHING

At Yoga Tree, we seek to develop teachers who encourage and inspire, who demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of individuals building meaningful relationships. Creating a strong foundation graduates will be able to discover your own unique voice and style.
Students who complete the 250-hr teacher training program will:
- Deepen their practice and understanding of yoga
- Learn how to provide and effectively implement corrections for students using voice, body language and touch
Create a cohesive, well-rounded class sequence - Study and understand yoga philosophy from the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita
- Have confidence to begin teaching yoga to various levels of students
Students will also receive a diploma which is Yoga Alliance compliant and can use this to apply to the Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level upon graduation.

Non refundable deposit of $1000 is required
with your application to secure your place in the course. All
