Yoga Tree February Newsletter

Just when you think winter was going to pass us by with the mild January temperatures, February comes rolling around with icy and blustery winds. Why not come and enjoy some toasty warm yoga classes at Yoga Tree. Whether you take our heated, reduced heat or non-heated classes, you are bound to get your sweat on. Come get cozy at Yoga Tree this February, and check out some of the stuff we have going on.

1. Schedule Face Lift !

In addition to the new web feature of online reservation. Our website will now feature our schdeule updated live every hour. This will reflect any changes in the schedule such as a substitute teacher. You can even search for classes according to your favourite teacher!

2. Yoga for Expecting Mothers -SIGN UP NOW!
Pre Natal Workshop with Akshaya

Starts: 1:30pm Saturday February 13th, 2010
Duration: 6 Weeks
Each Class: 1hr and 45 mins
Investment: $100 for 6 weeks program

Our certified pre-natal instructor will help you reconnect with your body, mind and inner wisdom, preparing expecting mother for labour and motherhood. The workshop is conducted in a calm and peaceful environment and will help expecting mother's strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, ease lower back pain, improve circulation and increase overall comfort. Prenatal yoga helps expecting mothers alleviate symptoms associated with pregnancy, such as sciatica, fatigue, swelling, and it also helps in aiding digestion.

Along with the asana practice, each week will have a topic and couples will be encouraged to share their own experiences with each other. Topics will range from myths and facts about pregnancy and labor, medicated vs. natural labor, the different stages of labor, breastfeeding and post-delivery care.

5. Yoga in Motion Team Kick Off !

Last year, team Yoga Tree participated and raised over $9,000 for Yoga in Motion. This four-hour yoga marathon was to help raise awareness and fund for breast cancer research at Mount Sinai Hospital. This year, we want you to join us to join in this 4-hour yoga marathon. On April 25, 2010 at 10am, participate in the 2nd annual Yoga in Motion at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex by signing up with Team Yoga Tree. Speak with a Yoga Advisor to sign up.

6. Introducing .... BRANCH Apparel

Yoga wear that is functional, flexible and fun, there is a perfect piece for all types of yoga or weekend wear. Branch yoga apparel will be available at Yoga Tree studios in mid February.

7. Green Valentines Day
Facts about Love

We encourage students to continue to support earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Students may donate directly to Red Cross Relief Fund at RBC (or other major bank institutions) or online at http://www.redcross.ca
