Myofascial Release for Athletes with Sandy

As an athlete, weekend warrior or gym rat, your body undergoes a higher level of stress that comes with performance. Regardless of your sport of choice, most athletes experience general high friction areas like the IT band, high impact areas like the feet and chronically contracted areas like the shoulders and back. In this workshop, we will use a variety of myofascial release tools and techniques to free up adhered layers of fascia, increase hydration to the tissues and aid in system-wide recovery and healing. Enjoy newfound freedom in the joints, increased strength and better enjoyment in your sport.

About Sandy: Sandy is a Yoga Medicine certified teacher and self-acclaimed anatomy nerd. With 6 years of experience guiding, teaching and studying yoga, she is constantly tailoring her classes in order to provide an effective and powerful experience. In her workshops and classes, you can expect hands-on adjustments, plenty of alignment cues, and a playful and down-to-earth humour. She considers each yoga class an opportunity to rediscover our innate capacity for joy, and aims to inspire all yogis to live their fullest lives.
