Dear Members,

Starting Wednesday, Sept 22nd, 2021,  all members will be required to provide a copy of their vaccination records to gain access to certain indoor settings, including restaurants and bars, sports venues and yoga studios.

All members will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days from the date of the 2nd dose) and provide their proof of vaccination along with a photo ID to access our studios.

Submit Your Vaccination Records Ahead of Time

Members who have been fully vaccinated can speed up their sign-in process by submitting their vaccination cards ahead of time.  Once submitted, you will be identified in our system as vaccinated, and you will not be required to bring in your vaccination records every time you come in for a class.

UPLOAD YOUR VACCINATION RECEIPT NOW

Alternatively, you may also bring in your vaccination records along with a photo I.D to your next class for vaccination registration.

Member Check-In Process By Providing The Following:

1. Government Issued PhotoID
2. Digital or physical copy of vaccination receipt

How Does This Impact Yoga Tree Members?
According to the province, this temporary mandate applies to all fitness facilities in Ontario. Effective September 22, 2021, all vaccinated Members will need to show their vaccine status along with a photo ID. Unvaccinated guests or members who do not fit the requirements of one of the few medical exemptions are unable to practice indoors at Yoga Tree.

I don't know how to upload, can I do this in person?
Yes, if you're having trouble uploading the form, you can show your vaccination receipt to our Yoga Advisor and we will be happy to support and update your records during your next visit.

How can I get my proof of vaccination?

Currently, vaccine receipts are available in PDF form to be downloaded or printed to your computer, phone or tablet. Ontarians who received their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine out of province should contact their local public health unit to record their information and receive proper documentation. Both proofs of identity along with proof of vaccination will be required. Individuals can provide proof of immunization by downloading or printing their vaccine receipt from the provincial booking portal, or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900.

Will people with medical exemptions be allowed to access settings requiring proof of vaccination?

The only exemptions permitted to enter these settings are for unvaccinated people with medical exemptions and people under 12 years old. Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted with a doctor’s note until the medical exemption can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certificate.

What if I don’t want to disclose my vaccination status?

It is the discretion of the individual to determine whether they would like to disclose their vaccination status. Should they decide not to divulge this information, they will not be permitted to access settings that require proof of vaccination. More information can be found on Ontario's official website.

What has Yoga Tree done to improve air quality at the studio?

Over the past weeks, Yoga Tree has taken many efforts to ensure our studios is a safe space for teachers, staff, and students to come and also work in. We have taken appropriate measures to ensure the well being of our community.

Medical grade HyperHEPA air purifiers have been added to every studio room.

This includes:

Medical-Grade filter air purifiers have been added in each studio room to eliminate microscopic pollutants and bacteria. A combination of Sharp and IQ Air purifiers have been installed in each studio room.

About our Air Purifiers

Sharp Purifiers

Sharp purifiers produces Plasmacluster® ions which disperse throughout the room, actively attacking germs, bacteria, viruses, mould and fungus, reaching more than conventional filter-based systems.

IQ Air Purifiers

IQ Air Purifiers uses proven Medical-Grade Air Filtration: 100x more effective than HEPA air purifiers. IQAir’s exclusive HyperHEPA filters stop ultrafine particles (down to 0.003 microns), stops the smallest particles that exist: 10x smaller than a virus.

What is Yoga Tree doing to help with the current situation?

Latest Update July 13th, 2021

We are excited to share we will be reopening for in-studio classes starting next Monday July 19th, 2021 at Bay Dundas, Richmond & Spadina and Richmond Hill

Update Nov 20th, 2020

With COVID-19 cases continue to be on the rise in our community, we have decided we will not be opening all our studios for in-studio classes until it is safe to do so. We encourage you to continue to prioritize your wellness by practicing with us from home via daily LIVE classes or anytime on our yoga on demand channel.

Update October 16th

As Toronto revert back to Phase 2, all studios are now closed in Toronto and York Region for 28 days. During the closure, members can practice with us online via zoom on a daily basis or practice with us on demand via yogatree.tv

Update: August 7th, 2020

As Toronto enters Phase 3, all studios are now open and available for online and in-studio booking.

Update: March 16th, 2020

Yoga Tree has been closely monitoring the situation since late January when the first case was reported in Toronto.

Over the past weeks, Yoga Tree has taken many efforts to ensure our studios is a safe space for teachers, staff, and students to come and also work in. We have taken appropriate measures to ensure the well being of our community.

Medical grade HyperHEPA air purifiers have been added to every studio room.

Our cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been increased significantly. We strive to disinfect and wipe down commonly used surfaces, including door handles and handrails.

For the time being, we are eliminating the use of tokens, consent cards and props for our classes.

Finally, we are reducing the class capacity to increase social distancing due to public health concerns and we will continue to monitor and act diligently to ensure the safety of everyone.

After careful consideration and based on the government’s emphasis on social distancing, we will be closing all our studios until we can safely reopen.

Will there be hands-on adjustments in class?

There are no hands-on adjustments for the time being. Teachers will be using verbal adjustments to guide students.

What happened to the use of tokens and adjustment consent cards?

We are reducing the amount of non essential communal items in the studio. Members will continue to sign in at the Front Desk and attend class as usual. Instructors will confirm with Front Desk Advisors for attendance accuracy instead of tokens.

Am I okay to take a class at the studio?

Out of consideration to those in our community, we ask that you stay at home for at least two weeks after travelling. If you are experiencing any symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or are for any reason concerned being out in public spaces, we suggest waiting 14 days before visiting the studio.

What can you do to help boost your immune system?

Boost your immune system. Now more than ever, it’s essential to prioritize our health and well-being and do all you can to boost your immune system so you’re as healthy as possible, in the event you encounter this virus. Research shows that sustaining healthy habits supports immunity and can help prepare our bodies to better fight and recover from illnesses, including coronavirus. These include:

  • Stick to a nutrient-dense, toxin-free diet, including known immune-supportive foods like garlic and ginger. Avoid foods that tend to weaken the immune system, such as sugar, refined grains, industrial vegetable oils, and processed and refined foods, as much as you can.
  • Get plenty of sleep, ideally seven to eight hours a night. This is your body’s time to perform preventive maintenance, which bolsters the immune system. Research shows that repeatedly short-changing sleep by even an hour or two can negatively affect immunity.
  • Get plenty of sunshine and supplemental vitamin D + K2. High levels of vitamin D have long been linked to lower rates of illness.
  • Consider taking additional vitamins, micronutrients, and supplements to support immunity, such as a high-quality multivitamin, magnesium, omega-3 fish oils, vitamin C, elderberry, and digestive enzymes. Probiotics and powdered greens have also been shown to support immune and gut health.
  • Get at least 20 minutes of low- to moderate-intensity exercise a day to prime the immune system. This movement results in the production of more white blood cells, which combat bacteria and viruses, and promotes improved circulation.
  • Wash your hands frequently, and for at least 20 seconds, with soap and water to protect yourself and others from germs.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Keep your hands away from your face, because germs routinely spread when a person touches something contaminated with germs, and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • If you begin to develop cold- and flu-like symptoms or become ill, take care of yourself and minimize the spread to others by staying home. If you think you may have symptoms of coronavirus call your healthcare provider immediately.
