Thanksgiving and Gratitude

A lot of students ask why we often run a half-day schedule on Thanksgiving Day? We often get so accustomed in our own routine (including doing yoga) that we sometimes forget to be thankful for what we have. So often that is easier said than done, and even more difficult to take time and give thanks to things around us that we often forget to appreciate. From the people who love you, to the people who challenge you, to the people who support you, try showing your gratitude today. Try changing your attitude for gratitude today and whatever our individual stress and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have. Even a simple change in our mood by doing a happy baby pose can boosts your “feel good” hormones, beats stress and works those abs muscles all at once.
